The List of Author and Peer Reviewer Guidance on the Use of AI from Journals and Organizations has been compiled as a resource to consult when researching policies and practices regarding the use of AI by authors and peer reviewers, as of August 8, 2025. It is not meant to be exhaustive but provides a useful snapshot from select, relevant journals, publishers, organizations and associations. Stakeholders are strongly encouraged to consult with the journal or organization directly for detailed policy statements or guidances. This list was developed under the auspices of the ISMPP Publications Ethics and Standards Committee, in consultation with the ISMPP AI Task Force, and will be updated periodically. The List of Author and Peer Reviewer Guidance on the Use of AI from Journals and Organizations is accessible only to ISMPP members.
