Kirsten Parr

Bio: Kirsten has more than 20 years' experience in medical publications and communications and worked for several different agencies before joining CMC in 2005. She moved to her current position as Head of Client Services in 2014. Kirsten has partnered with clients in the medical publications arena throughout her career supporting a broad range of therapy areas and covering the full product lifecycle. She has led teams responsible for developing publications strategies; managing publication plans and delivering all types of publications from abstracts and posters through to manuscripts and reviews. Her experience covers both global and regional publications. As Head of Client Services, she plays a role in ensuring that CMC build publications teams that are not only skilled at writing but knowledgeable and committed to delivering work that is ethical and of a high standard and quality. She is an active and enthusiastic member of ISMPP and regularly attends both the Global and European annual meetings. She is CMPP accredited and currently volunteering on the Programme and Abstract Committees for the 2017 Annual Meeting.

Daniel Pascheles

Bio: Dr. Pascheles joined Molekule Consulting in early 2017 as Chief Executive Officer and has over 20 years of experience in building world-class global competitive intelligence. As manager of large CI teams, Daniel oversaw and led during his successful career in the biopharmaceutical industry hundreds of primary CI projects, competitive simulations and strategic planning sessions. Prior to joining Molekule Consulting, Dr. Pascheles was Vice President and Head of Global Competitive Intelligence at Merck & Co /MSD for the last 12 years. Before that he worked for Aventis and its predecessor company (Hoechst Marion Roussel, Marion Merrell Dow) for 14 years in various positions such as Global Head of CI, European Head of Sales and Marketing Administration, European Head of Strategic Planning and General Manager Switzerland. Dr. Pascheles studied Pharmacy at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology from the same university. He did additional studies at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Daniel is Past-President and a current Board member of the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence & Research Group (PBIRG). He is also a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) and the Licensing Executive Society (LES). He is a well-known speaker/chairman of International Conferences on Competitive Intelligence. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board member of the Pharmaceutical Executive magazine and publishes regularly in various trade magazines. Daniel is also Visiting Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid teaching a Master Class in CI.

Patti Peeples

Bio: Dr. Patti Peeples is a health economist, educator, pharmacist, and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in healthcare economics. She is the Founder and CEO of HealthEconomics.Com, the global CONNECTED COMMUNITY for the health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) community. She is also Principal Researcher at HE Institute, a value communications group. Dr. Peeples has served in senior positions in Medical Affairs, Health Outcomes, and Product Management with ALZA, Novartis, and Xcenda. Patti serves on multiple journal Editorial Boards, including the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy, and the Journal of Clinical Pathways. She devotes her time to several Boards of Directors, including the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) and Yoga 4 Change. Peeples has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications on cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions. She holds a PhD in Health Economics from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Marketing, and a B.S. in Pharmacy and she completed an administrative Pharmacy Residency program.

Jeffrey Pfister

Bio: Jeff Pfister has over 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, much of it in scientific communications and compliance. Jeff earned a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a BS from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi and an MBA from the University of North Florida-Jacksonville.

Bio: Claudia Piano is currently SVP/Director, Client Engagement for CMC Connect. Claudia has over 25 years' experience at leading healthcare communications agencies, including over 9 years with CMC. Since joining CMC, Claudia led the growth of the US-based team for CMC overall, then led a fully integrated US/UK client service team for the Affinity division, and now leads BD growth efforts for the Connect division. CMC Connect works with several pharma company clients, providing publication planning and delivery as well as strategic medical communication services, across a wide range of therapy areas. Prior to joining CMC, Claudia worked her way through the ranks of agency life in client services, providing account leadership, strategic guidance, and tactical expertise to both global and US domestic clients. Claudia has a Masters of Liberal Arts from Harvard University, is a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) and has contributed to several ISMPP committees over the years, currently serving on the Nominating and Program Committees. She has also participated as a faculty member and co-authored posters presented at the ISMPP Annual Meeting.

Larry Radican

Bio: Larry Radican, PhD, MPH, Vice President, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Value Evidence Generation, is responsible for overseeing Peloton Advantage's HEOR capabilities and ensuring delivery of high-quality HEOR evidence-generation strategies and solutions to clients. He has more than 25 years of academic and industry experience in HEOR, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine, real-world data (RWD), comparative effectiveness research, and population health. Prior to joining Peloton Advantage, Dr. Radican held multiple positions over a 22-year span at Merck & Co.s Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence where he was responsible for obtaining US customer insights to support RWD study planning; leading US and global HEOR studies and value evidence generation strategic planning for dozens of inline and developmental products in numerous therapeutic area; and managing long-term academic-industry research partnerships. Prior to Merck, Dr. Radican worked at Emron Inc., where he designed HEOR studies and at Dover General Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey, where he assessed local and regional health needs and led communications initiatives that promoted hospital services, educational seminars, and screening programs to the local community. He has published more than 60 articles on outcomes research and real-world evidence in peer-reviewed journals and has authored and/or presented more than 60 abstracts at scientific conferences. Dr. Radican received his PhD in Epidemiology and his MPH in Health Care Administration and Organization from Rutgers University School of Public Health, and his BA in Economics from Colby College. He also currently serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Public Health.

Tom Rees

Bio: Tom has over 20 years' experience in medical communications and publications planning, and is currently a Communications Director at Oxford PharmaGenesis, having previously held roles in strategic consultancy, as a team leader and lead medical writer. Tom is a regular contributor to the US and European ISMPP meetings, and has delivered a number of workshops and new research presentations on the topics of publications innovations, good publications practice, and patient communications, publication metrics (including altmetrics), and social media. He currently serves on the ISMPP Social Media/Web-based Metrics Working Group and is a past member of the ISMPP Credentialing and Global Workshop Committees. Tom holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Cranfield University in the UK, and is CMPP certified.
