Bio: Jason earned his BSc (Honors) in Biochemistry and PhD in Physiology from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada), and received a fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to pursue a postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University. Jason's research has been published in several high-impact journals and presented at major international congresses, and he has been a reviewer for Circulation Research and Proteomics. Jason has been working in medical communications for 14 years, and in his current role, oversees literature analysis (including systematic literature reviews) and publication planning and strategy across the agency. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and has written and provided medical direction for a wide range of health economics and market access analyses and deliverables, including budget impact models and retrospective database analyses, as well as reimbursement dossiers (Global Value Dossiers, AMCP dossiers, and others) and slide decks. Jason was a member of first class of CMPPs, and recently recertified. He is a current member of the CMPP Board and previous Co-Chair of the Recertification Committee, and has authored multiple posters at ISMPP Annual Meetings. At Cello Health, he also serves as the internal Compliance Officer, responsible for internal education on Good Publication Practice and day-to-day implementation of best practices.

Bio: Katherine Molnar-Kimber, Ph.D. is a scientific and medical writer, and a consultant who helps scientists, clinicians, their universities, and/or sponsoring companies to clarify the significance and innovation of their research findings. For clients, she has written, edited or substantive edited more than 120 manuscripts that were published in scientific journals. She also helps principal investigators (PIs) obtain grant funding and professional organizations publish guidelines. As a scientist, PI, and writer, she pursued basic science, translational and medical research in the Pharmaceutical Industry (10 years), University of Pennsylvania (7 years) and two biotech firms. She utilizes her experiences as principal investigator, speaker, author, award-winning scientist (best poster), mentor, and an ad-hoc reviewer for 15 journals and several study sections (SBIR, NCI for 8 years) to write or substantive edit research papers, reviews, grant proposals, case studies, guidelines, and web pages on scientific and medical topics. She is the owner and Principal of KMK Consulting Services of Kimnar Group LLC. She earned her PhD in Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Laurie Myers

Bio: Since 2010, Laurie has led Merck's global health literacy efforts in support of improved patient communications, including medication labeling, packaging, clinical trial materials, lay summaries, and patient education. Laurie has worked to include respondents with low health literacy into patient labeling research, earning a national health literacy award. She works and speaks internationally. She has co-chaired two US working groups on lay summaries and health literacy in clinical trials, at the MRCT (Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women's and Harvard). She served as an invited member of the EMA lay summaries working group, where she helped to influence guidance to reflect principles of health literacy, numeracy, and readability. She did a plenary session at the 2017 Asia Health Literacy Conference and recently at an EU labeling conference, highlighting global best practices in patient labeling. She was an invited speaker by the FDA at a 2017 labeling conference, with an international audience of over 2000 people in 42 countries. She has co-authored six publications, and serves on the US National Academies Health Literacy Roundtable. She won an MM&M Top 40 Healthcare Transformers Award last year. She has a Bachelor's degree from Yale and an MBA from Wharton.

Bio: Chinyelum (Chi-Chi) Olele, PharmD, CDR, USPHS is the Patient Engagement Advisory Committee (PEAC) Manager at the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). She attended Hampton University School of Pharmacy in Hampton, VA where she earned her doctorate in pharmacy in 2009.
