Bio: Jackie Marchington joined Caudex in 1990 as a medical editor/writer following a period of post-doctoral research. Since then, she has developed within the company in a range of roles culminating in her current position of Director of Global Operations. During her 25+ years in healthcare communications, she has used her logical approach to problem-solving and project development to evolve the current operating, quality and ethical standards for which Caudex is known. She develops and delivers both internal and external training on all aspects of medical publications, including publication ethics, compliance and copyright, and works with all Caudex offices to ensure understanding of and adherence to quality control protocols, as well as processes that contribute to the smooth and efficient development of projects. Bio: Laura has 15 years of medical communications experience across a range of therapy areas, working in collaboration with global and regional clients, and with expertise spanning early phase, pre- and post-launch publication planning, medical education and clinical trial support, including feasibility and access to patients. Laura has been a Certified Medical Publications Professional (CMPP) and a member of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) European Meeting Program Committee member since 2010, serving as chair of the 2015 European Meeting of ISMPP and a range of other roles at, including as a presenter, moderator and abstract reviewer. Laura is also currently a member of the ISMPP Advocacy and Outreach Committee, with a particular focus on outreach within Europe. Prior to joining medical communications, Laura was a Commissioning Editor at Future Science Group, an independent medical publishing company. Laura holds a BSc in Biochemistry from University of Leeds, UK, including a 1-year research placement in genomics at AstraZeneca. She has also completed a short course in the Economic Evaluation of Medicines from University of York, UK.

Bio: With a background in molecular biology, Claire has worked in science publishing for around 25 years. She was previously the Publisher for the Current Opinion, Trends and Drug Discovery Today titles at Elsevier. As Publisher at The Company of Biologists, Claire is responsible for five titles: Development; Journal of Cell Science; Journal of Experimental Biology; Disease Models & Mechanisms; and Biology Open. The company provides charitable grants and hosts a series of scientific Workshops and Journal Meetings. Claire is a regular presenter at publishing meetings, is a member of the Society Publishers Coalition and is on the DORA steering committee.
