Bio: Simon was awarded a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, where his research focused on the synthesis and application of precious metal complexes as protein inhibitors, specifically aimed at cancer treatment. Following his PhD, Simon served for a number of years as Head of Publications at Costello Medical Consulting, and as Managing Scientific Director at Cambridge Medical Communication. Bio: Kirsten has more than 20 years' experience in medical publications and communications and worked for several different agencies before joining CMC in 2005. She moved to her current position as Head of Client Services in 2014. Kirsten has partnered with clients in the medical publications arena throughout her career supporting a broad range of therapy areas and covering the full product lifecycle. She has led teams responsible for developing publications strategies; managing publication plans and delivering all types of publications from abstracts and posters through to manuscripts and reviews. Her experience covers both global and regional publications. As Head of Client Services, she plays a role in ensuring that CMC build publications teams that are not only skilled at writing but knowledgeable and committed to delivering work that is ethical and of a high standard and quality. She is an active and enthusiastic member of ISMPP and regularly attends both the Global and European annual meetings. She is CMPP accredited and currently volunteering on the Programme and Abstract Committees for the 2017 Annual Meeting.
