What will be the dates of the virtual 16th Annual Meeting of ISMPP? Will the meeting be live or pre-recorded?
We will deliver the virtual meeting later in the year, with a target of June 2020. Specific dates will be forthcoming. Our virtual meeting will have a combination of live and pre-recorded elements.

What will happen for members who have already registered for the live meeting?
ISMPP staff will automatically issue refunds per the terms of our refund policy. As we have nearly 300 registrants, these refunds will be processed over the following week; thank you for your patience! Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a revised invoice reflecting the credit for your records in your email.

What if I renewed my annual membership as part of my registration?
Any annual memberships submitted as part of the registration will remain intact, and you will receive all member benefits for the year as planned.

Why is 10% of my registration nonrefundable?
This is in accordance with our standard cancellation policy, and is retained strictly to cover the administrative efforts involved with processing registrations, as well as the fees imposed by financial institutions for transactions.

Can my registration be credited toward a future event?
We are able to transfer the credit toward the 17th Annual Meeting in 2021, but are unable to transfer credits toward any other future events at this time. Unless a transfer to the 2021 Annual meeting is requested, refunds will be issued within the week, and attendees may register for future events once their registrations open.

Will my hotel reservation be automatically canceled?
Yes.  While previous guidance was given that you would need to call and cancel your reservation, the Hyatt has updated their policy and will be automatically cancelling all reservations associated with our meeting and sending out cancellation confirmations.  If you want to reinstate your reservation for other purposes, you may rebook at the Grand Hyatt for reduced rates at www.hyatt.com.

I am interested in the virtual meeting. Can you tell me more?
We are planning an awesome virtual experience for our members! The ISMPP team is working quickly to convert our sessions to live or pre-recorded experiences. Understanding that there is no full replacement for the "hallway" conversations and random engagements that occur live, we endeavor to get as close as we can to a real-world experience. Look for more information in the coming weeks!

How about CMPP recertification credits?
ISMPP virtual sessions will be eligible for ISMPP CMPP recertification credits, the same as a live session.

I heard a rumor about pharmacy continuing education credits. Is it true?
YES! For our pharmacists that require continuing education, we plan to offer credits of continuing education. Please look for more details shortly.

I will miss the engagement and networking. Any ideas?
The launch of our ISMPP Community could not have been better timed. If you have not already done so, sign-in and participate in the dialogue. There is no better way to access all of your colleagues in one place than our virtual community of practice. Click HERE to join the Community!

I am an exhibitor at the meeting. What happens with my purchased exhibit space?
We recognize that our annual ISMPP gathering represents an extremely important opportunity to engage members and communicate capabilities. ISMPP takes the responsibility very seriously to pair members who are in need of services with agency providers. We are working on alternative options to ensure this is accomplished and, indeed, we have some creative ideas that our valued partners will find very compelling, beyond a traditional exhibit booth. Please look for a specific communication to our exhibitors in the near term.

I have an abstract that is accepted for poster presentation at the meeting. What do I do now?
Please proceed with developing a PDF format of your poster. We are exploring options for integration with our virtual meeting. Abstracts will still be published in Current Medical Research and Opinion (CMRO) as planned on April 20, 2020. The publication will be available as open access. Additional information will be provided in the coming weeks. Specific questions can be directed to Jennifer Ciafullo at [email protected]

What is the poster deadline for the Virtual 16th Annual Meeting of ISMPP?
The deadline for a completed poster file is now Monday, May 4, 2020. Please email the poster file to Jen Ciafullo at [email protected].

Will you still hold workshops?
We are working rapidly to determine the best methods to deliver workshops. Right now, we can confirm that some workshops will be held onsite at ISMPP West 2020, October 1-2, in Irvine, California. Please keep in mind that this is a smaller meeting and stay tuned for additional information in the coming months.

Will there still be an ISMPP business meeting, per our bylaws?
Yes. ISMPP bylaws require one Board of Trustees session with our members per year in order to conduct business, pass the gavel between board Chairs, and review the current state of the organization. We will conduct this important element in a virtual format, either as part of meeting programming or as a component of an ISMPP U webinar. More details will follow.

Rather than be refunded, what if I would like my payments thus far to be put toward supporting the ISMPP community?
If you would like your registration to be retained by ISMPP as a donation toward maintaining the viability of our society and providing future educational opportunities, or are interested in applying unused registration toward a sponsorship, please contact [email protected].

Who should I contact if I have other questions?
We will have additional communications in the near term. We appreciate, in advance, your patience as we quickly rally to convert our meeting, process refunds, and set up registration for the virtual meeting. Urgent questions can be directed to [email protected].

March 4, 2020 - ISMPP's Announcement on COVID-19

March 2, 2020

ISMPP is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak currently affecting 67 countries worldwide (as of March 2). At this time there are no federal restrictions in place to prevent meetings and travel in the United States. We take the health of our members, meeting attendees and staff seriously, and will be working with our venue (Grand Hyatt Washington) and consistently reviewing the recommendations of the World Heath Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the local health authorities in Washington, DC to ensure we have measures in place for good hygiene practices at our upcoming conference. We have a few preventative measures we are working to adopt for this meeting and will share those in the coming weeks.

We are continuing to track our registration for this meeting, and are not seeing a trend that would suggest a reluctance for people to attend our meeting in April. In the event you reside in a country where travel restrictions are put in place, we will provide a full refund for your registration or a waiver for next year's meeting (your preference)–supporting documentation will be requested for record keeping purposes.

In the meantime, as many of our colleagues continue traveling, please take a moment to watch this helpful video about protecting your health while in transit!
