You’ve chosen to join an international organization that boasts a membership of nearly 1100 members achieved in just over 6 years, with a vision of becoming the recognized and respected authority for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and device industries’ medical publication professionals. Our mission, which clearly outlines our commitment to our members, is to:
- Advance the medical publication profession through education and advocacy
- Drive integrity, excellence, and transparency in medical publications
- Lead the establishment and adoption of medical publication standards and best practices
ISMPP is also the only society for medical publication professionals offering a credentialing program—the Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP)—which further demonstrates the Society’s commitment to the establishment and support of ethics and best practices in medical publications.
As a member of this organization, you will be able to enhance your educational opportunities and network with your peers at the annual meeting, continue to broaden your knowledge by attending the monthly ISMPP U webinars, and have full access to the membership directory, job board, and educational program archives. And most importantly, will be able to work with your peers to improve the future of our profession by defining best practices and ethics surrounding medical publications.
We encourage you to support the goals outlined in our vision and mission statements by volunteering for an ISMPP committee and participating in the Annual Meeting, which will be held on April 23-25, 2012, in Baltimore, MD, USA.
