Bio: Beatrix originally trained as a veterinarian. She subsequently moved into clinical research where she held increasingly senior positions at leading institutions across Europe. Her focus was on the successful development of transcatheter heart valves. A love of medical writing, training and an interest in medical devices led Beatrix in 2011 to start her own consultancy. She can successfully navigate the new regulatory guidelines and offers real expertise across some of the more complex device areas. Since 2015, she is a member of EMWA's executive committee and recently became a member of the Medical Device Special Interest Group. In 2011 Beatrix established her own company, CORIUVAR consulting, which focuses on clinical research consulting and medical writing for medical devices.
