This year's program--"Trends, Transparency, and Trust: From Insights to Action"--offers numerous possibilities for topics. And, submissions are not limited to this topic alone. We encourage you to think about your successes, challenges, and best practices as medical publication professionals and consider showcasing your findings to your peers. Feedback from ISMPP membership indicates that case studies and research supported by surveys are of keen interest to your colleagues.
As in past years, ISMPP's Abstract Committee will review all submitted abstracts via a blinded, peer-reviewed process. Abstracts will be selected for presentation based on submission criteria, which include the abstract’s relevance to members' roles as publication professionals and/or to the theme of the European Meeting. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters at the meeting, and published in a special supplement to Current Medical Research & Opinion after the 8th Annual Meeting of ISMPP (April 2012). Authors will be notified of their abstract’s disposition in late September 2011.
New this year: encore abstract submissions. If your abstract was accepted for presentation at the 7th Annual Meeting of ISMPP (oral or poster), and you believe that your research findings will be of value to attendees at the European Meeting, please submit your abstract for consideration. Your submission must include the citation for the original presentation and a statement of rationale for an encore presentation. We especially encourage encores with updated data!
There will be a poster judging at the meeting, and one poster will be selected as the winner in the category of Best Original Research. In addition to being announced at the meeting, this distinction will be noted in the CMRO supplement.
