Call For Abstracts
Abstract Submission Deadline: January 17, 2017 at 5:00 pm EST
ISMPP is pleased to issue a call for abstracts for our upcoming 13th Annual Meeting, themed, Global Publication Practices: Advancing Ethics and Scientific Integrity in an Era of Data-Sharing, May 1-3, 2017 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD, USA.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your research published, discuss findings with your peers and contribute to the medical publication space. Accepted abstracts will be showcased as a poster or oral presentation at our Annual Meeting and published in a special supplement to Current Medical Research and Opinion in May 2017.
Abstracts should be research-oriented and provide objective evidence that confirms, improves, or enhances standards or understanding of the medical publication profession. Topics related to the overall meeting theme are encouraged.
You may want to consider – but are not limited to – original research in the following areas:
Ethics and/or transparency
Best practices, education and/or advocacy
Perception of the medical publication profession by the external environment especially evidence that helps to debunk misperceptions about our field
Legal, regulatory, and/or publishing environments and their impact on the medical publication profession
Successful internal or external collaborations
Standards and guidelines
Direct application to day-to-day activities
ISMPP's Abstract Committee will review all abstracts via a blinded, peer-review process.
**Please note - in keeping with other scientific congresses, ISMPP will no longer be issuing conditional acceptances for abstract submissions or accepting late submissions. ISMPP will also no longer distribute surveys on behalf of abstract authors. Please read the guidelines carefully to ensure a high-quality submission that meets the stated requirements.
Authors will be notified by late-February. Abstracts will be selected for presentation based on criteria that include the abstract’s originality and innovation, clear communication, especially in regards to methods and results, and relevance to the field of medical publications.
